One Killed, One Injured in East Austin Fire

A disabled man believed to be in his thirties died in a house fire in East Austin Sunday afternoon. A second resident of the home, a woman in her sixties was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge and later to the San Antonio burn center.

The fire in the 1400 block of Ulit Avenue caused around $160,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and is not likely to be revealed before Wednesday.
