HEB Recalls Chicken Distributed In Texas With Undeclared Allergens
More than 1,000 pounds of diced chicken thighs distributed at area stores contained wheat that was not identified on the label.

AUSTIN, TX — HEB is recalling more than 1,000 pounds of diced chicken thighs due to incorrect branding and undeclared allergens, federal food regulators said on Tuesday.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said the 1,150 pounds of chicken product contains wheat, a known allergen not declared on the product label. The products were prepared at HEB Meat Plant, a regional distribution point for its stores — of which there are more some two dozen in the Austin area.
The raw, diced chicken thighs were produced on Sept. 22, regulators said in a recall notice.
