Man Accused In Deadly East Austin Home Invasion In 2014 Found Guilty
Allen Townsend will next be sentenced for home invasion that left a man shot dead as he and a co-defendant fled the apartment.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — A man accused of a 2014 home invasion in East Austin that led to a fatality was found guilty on Monday, according to a published report.
A Travis County jury returned the verdict against Allen Townsend for a home invasion centered on the theft of money, the Austin American-Statesman reported. The jury deliberated for a little over one hour before rendering their verdict, the newspaper reported noted.
A witness testified in the trial that Townsend and co-defendant Terry Stowers broke into an apartment on Springdale Road and took money from LeQunice Tomlin, the newspaper reported. A gun went off, possibly accidentally, as the suspects sought to exit the apartment, according to the report.

Travis County Judge Karen Sage is scheduled to sentence Townsend in the coming weeks. Stowers, the co-defendant, is scheduled to go to trial in September.
