East Austin Patient Not Gunshot Victim After All: EMS (Updated)
Austin-Travis County EMS responded to 2100 block of East 7th Street shortly after 8 p.m. amid reports of victim of gunshot wound.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Medics responded to East Austin Tuesday evening amid reports of a gunshot wound victim only to find the patient was not wounded by gunfire.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics said they received the call shortly after 8 p.m. about the incident along the 2100 block of East 7th St. Medics originally classified the patient as a gunshot victim, but later retracted the report.
The incident, medics later said via Twitter "...is NOT a gunshot wound." Instead, the call was of the non-traumatic medical variety. No further details were given.
