Motorcyclist Dies In Collision With 18-Wheeler Along Texas 71
The victim, a man in his 60s, died shortly after impact at 4400 block of the highway; traffic backed up to about a mile and a half.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — A motorcyclist died Tuesday afternoon following a collision with an 18-wheeler on Texas 71, officials said.
The wreck occurred just past 4 p.m. along the eastbound lanes of the 4400 block of the highway near Ross Road, Austin-Travis County EMS medics said via Twitter. The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, died shortly after the impact, officials said.
No other injuries were reported. Traffic was backed up to about a mile and a half as police and cleanup crews descended onto the scene.
