Motorist Plows Into Health Clinic Avoiding Pedestrian In East Austin
Both the driver and pedestrian fled the scene after the Sunday night incident that resulted in no injuries.

EAST AUSTIN, TX -- A motorist plowed into an East Austin children's clinic Sunday night after swerving to avoid a pedestrian.
CBS Austin reported the crash occurred at the "Specially for Children" clinic at Interstate 35 and 51st Street. Witnesses told police the driver swerved in order to avoid hitting a pedestrian along the 5300 block of North I-35.
Round Rock Police Department spokeswoman Angelique Myers confirmed to Patch in an email that the investigation into the incident is ongoing, centered on a search for an unknown suspect still at large.

Police said both the pedestrian and driver fled the scene. The children's clinic was closed at the time of the incident Sunday night, and no injuries were reported.
