Nearby Shots Fired Prompts 'Reverse Lock Down' At East Austin Elementary School
Pickle Elementary officials prohibit entry into school after shots fired from the nearby Vue Apartments less than a block away.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — An elementary school in East Austin is under a "reverse lock down" after reports of shots fired nearby, according to media reports.
The shots said to have come from the Vue Apartments along the 7600 block of Blessing Avenue — located within a block of Pickle Elementary school — prompted officials to prohibit entry into the educational facility in what's called a "reverse lock down." No injuries have been reported, according to KXAN.
Member of the SWAT team at the Austin Police Department are reportedly on scene. Members of the public are highly urged to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
