New Austin-To-Pensacola Non-Stop Flights To Launch This Weekend
Southwest Airlines will operate the new non-stop service once a week this summer on Saturdays starting June 10, officials said.

AUSTIN, TX – Southwest Airlines will launch two summer-only, weekly nonstop services between Austin and Pensacola, Fla., airport officials said on Thursday.
The flights from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Pensacola International Airport (PNS) and Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) are scheduled for launch this Saturday, June 10. The carrier will operate the new non-stop service once a week this summer on Saturdays, according to airport officials.
Pensacola International Airport (PNS), formerly Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport and Pensacola Regional Airport, is northeast of the central business district of Pensacola, Fla. Southwest’s new nonstop flights will depart Austin at 5:30 p.m. and arrive in Pensacola at 7:20 p.m. Flights depart Pensacola at 10 a.m. and arrive in Austin at 11:55 a.m., airport officials said.

Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) is northwest of Panama City and near Panama City Beach, Florida. Opened in 2010, this new airport replaced Panama-City-Bay County International Airport. Southwest’s new nonstop flights will depart Austin at 12:10 p.m. and arrive in Panama City at 2:10 p.m. Flights depart Panama City at 11:45 a.m. and arrive in Austin at 1:45 p.m.
Southwest Airlines remains the largest airline carrier at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, transporting more than 4.7 million passengers last year, ABIA officials noted. These launches mark Southwest’s second and third new destinations from Austin-Bergstrom this year after kicking off non-stop service to Kansas City (MCI) on March 13. Flights are currently available for booking at www.southwest.com.
