Overturned Mail Truck Prompts Traffic Delays In East Austin
The 18-wheeler went down at about 4:45 in the morning, and its cargo had to be transferred to a replacement vehicle.

EAST AUSTIN, TX -- An overturned 16-wheeler early Wednesday prompted the closure of a portion of Ed Bluestein Boulevard, according to a published report.
Police told the Austin American-Statesman that one lane of southbound Ed Bluestein (U.S. 183) near 51st Stret was closed after the big rig overturned. The vehicle was described as a mail truck and its contents had to be removed and transferred to a replacement vehicle -- a process that created further traffic delays, the Statesman reported.
The incident occurred at about 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday. No injuries were reported.
