Pedestrian Struck By Cap Metro Train In East Austin
Incident occurred near Comal and East 5th streets just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday near the Plaza Saltillo mixed-use real estate development.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries Saturday night after being hit by a Capital Metro train in East Austin.
Described as a woman in her 30s, the victim was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries that are potentially life-threatening, Austin-Travis County EMS officials wrote on Twitter. The incident occurred near Comal Street and East 5th Street just after 10:30 p.m. near the Plaza Saltillo mixed-use real estate development.
Cap Metro officials later confirmed a dozen passengers were on the train at the time of the collision. None of the passengers on the train were injured, according to Cap Metro officials.
