Police ID Homicide Victim Found Along Road In Southeast Austin
The body of Felipe Leija, 33, was found with obvious trauma and an autopsy determined he was a homicide victim.

EAST AUSTIN, TX -- Police on Tuesday identified the victim of a homicide in southeast Austin last week.
Felipe Leija, 33, was found July 21 on the side of the road after officers responded to a welfare check call along the 24o0 block of Falwell Lane. Upon its discovery at 10:35 a.m., the body had obvious signs of trauma, and a subsequent autopsy ruled the cause of death as a homicide.
In their press advisory, police didn't specify the nature of the victim's wounds. It's not specified if Leija died of a shooting, stabbing or another means.
