Police ID Victim In Fatal East Austin Shooting

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Police on Friday identified the man killed this week after an East Austin shooting.

Police responded to 1148 Poquito St. on April 19 at around 6:30 p.m., finding two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the hospital for medical treatment, but Keeven Darrall Cubit, 27, later died. The other victim remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
