Police ID Victim, Suspect In East Austin Shooting That Left A Man Dead
Marvin Henson, 44, has been charged with murder and is jailed under a $30,000 bail, police said.

EAST AUSTIN, TX -- Police on Thursday identified the victim and suspect in a fatal shooting that took place last week.
On Aug. 11, at about 9:3o p.m., police responded to the 1800 block of Elmira Road after reports of a shooting. Once on scene, police found two victims of apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims was transported to University Medical Center Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Medics tried reviving a second victim without success, and he was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:46 p.m. The mortally wounded man was identified as Ashton Dominick Collins, who was 44 years old.

The suspect was identified as Marvin Henson, also 44 years of age. He was subsequently arrested for murder and was booked into the Travis County Jail under bail of $30,000, police said.
