Police Identify Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

The motorcyclist died after being ejected from his bike during a collision with a minivan.

Police have identified a motorcyclist who was killed after crashing with a minivan in East Austin.

Raymond Rodriguez, 51, was traveling northbound on South Pleasant Valley Rd. in his 1997 Harley Davidson Wednesday when a 2001 Dodge Caravan turned left onto the road from a private parking lot, police said in a news release. Raymond was ejected from his motorcycle when it collided with the mini van at 7:52 p.m.

He was transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge with life-threatening injuries and was pronounce dead Thursday.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan, who was not identified by police, received violations for failure to yield the right of way and driving with an invalid license.
