Police ID Homicide Victim Found On Roadway In East Austin [UPDATED]

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Police on Thursday identified the victim of a homicide whose body was found in East Austin early Wednesday morning.

Tyler Benjamin White, 24, was found on the roadway along the 1400 block of Meander Drive on Nov. 29 at about 7:30 a.m. An subsequent autopsy by the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death was homicide.

Police have yet to make an arrest in the case. EAST AUSTIN, TX -- Police on Wednesday are investigating a suspicious death in East Austin.

Officers were called to the 1400 block of Meander Drive near Webberville Road at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning after receiving reports of a person lying in the street. Once there, police found a body with obvious physical trauma.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
