Police Investigate Suspicious Package in East Austin

UPDATE: The package was ultimately deemed safe, after it was determined it was just a package that the nearby Chase bank branch had ordered but placed in an odd location, KEYE-TV reported.

East Austin, TX -- Police are looking into a suspicious package at an East Austin shopping center, a television news station reported Tuesday evening.

The area of focus is at the Capital Plaza Shopping Center in the 5400 block of Interstate 35, KEYE is reporting. As a precaution, it's always safer to avoid areas of police investigation.
