Police Respond to Stabbing In East Austin
Female victim hospitalized; suspect in custody.

EAST AUSTIN, TX - Police officers responded to a call of a stabbing in East Austin Wednesday evening that led to the victim being hospitalized and later leading to the arrest of a suspect.
Lt. Trent Goertz, the watch commander at the real-time crime center, said the emergency call came in at 5:18 p.m. Officers responding to the scene in the 900 block of Springdale Road found a female victim stabbed. She was later transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
Goertz said the suspect had fled the scene but was later apprehended and is currently being held. The watch commander said no other details were available, but more information would be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
