Police Seek Suspect After East Austin Bank Branch Is Held Up
The incident occurred at the International Bank of Commerce branch located at the 2800 block of East Cesar Chavez Street.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Police are looking for a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon in East Austin.
The incident occurred at the International Bank of Commerce branch located along the 2800 block of East Cesar Chavez Street at close to 4:45 p.m. A suspect entered the bank while displaying a weapon and demanded an undisclosed amount of money.
The amount of cash with which the suspect fled was not provided. There were no injuries resulting from the incident, police said.

The suspect is described as a man standing at a height of five feet, two inches and weighing about 170 pounds. He was said to be in his late 20s to early 30s and is believed to have facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark ski mask and gloves, a short-sleeve white T-shirt and blue jeans.
The case remains under investigation.
