Police Seek Suspect In Pair Of East Austin Business Heists
Suspect described as being between 50 to 60 years old said to have walked calmly away after each incident and taken the bus to flee scene.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a suspect in two business robberies occurring in East Austin in the last week.
The suspect is said to have entered each business while implying he was armed with a weapon in demanding money from store employees. After each heist, the suspect is said to have calmly waked away. The suspect is wanted for robberies at the following locations:
- Friday, August 11, 2017 - 5:10 p.m., Fred Loya Insurance, 2410 E. Riverside Dr., Austin.
- Monday, August 14, 2017 - 4:00 p.m., La Rouge Boutique, 3405 N. IH-35, Austin.
The suspect is described as a white male between 50 and 60 years old, approximately five feet, six inches tall with a thin build, short gray hair and sun-weathered skin complexion. The suspect wore a long-sleeve, button-up shirt, blue jeans and sunglasses during each robbery.

Detectives believe the suspect may have used public bus transportation prior to and after the robberies. After robbing La Rouge Boutique, the suspect walked eastbound into the Cherrywood neighborhood, police said. Residents of this neighborhood who have outdoor surveillance cameras are asked to contact robbery detectives if their cameras captured this suspect between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Aug. 14.
