EAST AUSTIN, TX — A teenager faces felony charges after being accused of stabbing a woman in the face in an East Austin home invasion — an attack that will likely result in the victim losing both her eyes, according to reports.

The incident dates to Jan. 13, but details are newly released via an arrest affidavit. Police say a 17-year-old female suspect twice broke into a man's East Austin home before attacking and maiming his girlfriend both times, Spectrum News Austin reported.

The female victim is said to have been stabbed with a pair of six-inch-long scissors in an attack that left the victim with multiple wounds to her head and face, the news station reported. In an Austin American-Statesman report on the incident, the teen is identified as Taneese Mackey.

According to the affidavit, the man told police he didn't know how the teenager broke into his home but acknowledged that he knew the suspect. The victim told police the suspect told the man that "whoever you got here, I'm gonna get her" before the attack while describing she was in the throes of a "fatal attraction," according to the affidavit.

Unlike the unidentified man in the case, the victim told police she did not know who the teenager was, according to the report. The street on which the attack occurred wasn't released.

The woman will likely lose an eye as a result of the attack, according to the reports.

Mackey is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
