Sheriff's Office Search For Whoever Shot Two Horses Dead In East Austin
One horse was shot four times, the other mortally wounded in the neck and chest.

EAST AUSTIN, TX -- Travis County Sheriff's Office deputies continue to search for the culprit responsible for the shooting death of two horses over the weekend.
TCSO spokesman Roger Wade told Patch the dead horses were found somewhere in the 10400 to 10600 block of Springdale Road in East Austin over the weekend. The two horses had been shot and killed.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the property on two occasions at 12:15 p.m. and 8:08 p.m. on Sunday, according to media reports, including a story broadcast on KXAN-TV. The dead horses belonged to two different owners, the station reports.

Horse owner Michelle O'Brien told KXAN she was heartbroken after discovering her 16-year-old mare shot twice in the neck and chest.
"I'm devastated," the woman told the news station. "I've had her since the day she was born."

The other horse was shot four times, according to media reports.
