Shots Fired Near East Austin Restaurant
Police rushed to Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen at 2320 E. Riverside Dr. around 5 p.m. after someone called 911 to report multiple shots.
EAST AUSTIN, TX — Police responded to a report of shots fired Tuesday evening at an East Austin restaurant.
Officers rushed to the scene of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen at 2320 E. Riverside Dr., just west of South Pleasant Valley Road at around 5 p.m. According to police, a person called 911 to report someone had fired several shots in the area.
It's unclear whether the shots came from outside or inside the restaurant. Police also have not said whether anyone was in custody.

Witnesses saw several police cars in the area, with police tape cordoning off the area to accommodate detectives' investigation. No injuries were reported.
There’s approx. 5 cop cars by the Popeyes on Riverside Drive. The parking lot is marked off off with crime scene tape. Be careful if you’re in the area.
