Three Hospitalized In East Austin Stabbing

Trio of victims with varying degrees of injuries rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center after stabbing along the 2800 block of Gonzales Street.

EAST AUSTIN – Three people were hospitalized after an East Austin stabbing rampage on Sunday night, officials said.

A man in his in his 40s and a woman in her 30s were stabbed along the 2800 block of Gonzales Street near the intersection of East 7th Street and North Pleasant Valley Road, Austin-Travis County EMS medics said. The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. on Sunday night, according to medics. Both were rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening wounds.

Medics later reported that a third person involved in the incident was also transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. No description was offered at to the age and gender of the third victim.

The Austin Police Department reportedly took one person into custody in connection with the stabbing. An investigation into the matter continues.
