Tomlinson's To Distribute 60K Pounds Of Food To Austin Rescues
Pound4Pound Pick-Up Party benefits area rescues, including Love-A-Bull, Central Texas SPCA, Texas Humane Heroes, Williamson County shelter.
EAST AUSTIN, TX — Tomlinson’s pet store is hosting the first Pound4Pound Pick-Up Party on Thursday during which they will donate more than 60,000 pounds of food to Austin-area animal rescues, officials announced.
The March 29 event will take place at 10 a.m. at the Tomlinson’s warehouse, 845 Interchange Blvd., Ste 105 where the equivalent of two filled semi-truck loads worth of food will be distributed to more than 20 Austin-area rescues. The amount is just a fraction of the food officials plan to donate this year, organizers of the event noted.
Officials from various rescues — Love-A-Bull, Central Texas SPCA, Texas Humane Heroes, and the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter among them — are scheduled to attend the event.
