Tuesday Night SH 71 Closures Near Austin Airport To Cause Traffic Delays

EAST AUSTIN, TX — As paving work continues on SH 71 near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, multiple closures are scheduled beginning Tuesday night resulting in traffic delays, officials said.

Multiple closures along SH 71 are scheduled on Tuesday, June 27, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday. The closures include:

• Full closure of the Presidential Boulevard intersection and U-turns at SH 71. View map below for detours.

• Full closure of westbound 71 Toll from Onion Creek to FM 973. Drivers will utilize the westbound SH 71 general purpose lanes.

• Double lane closures of the westbound SH 71 general purpose lanes from Onion Creek to Spirit of Texas Drive.
