A man and a woman were taken to the hospital Sunday night after they were shot in East Austin.
Police were called to the scene at 11:35 p.m. The shooting occurred near Singleton Avenue and Martin Luther Kind Boulevard, police said.
The man and woman were transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge with non life-threatening injuries, according to a tweet sent from Austin / Travis County EMS. Their current conditions are unknown.

Police said they have made an arrest in connection with the shooting, but are waiting to release the suspect’s identity and booking photo.
