• DHR Health's 'Walk and Talk with a Doc' for Breast Cancer Awareness, October 1st in Edinburg (texasborderbusiness.com) — Edinburg residents can join DHR Health's free "Walk and Talk with a Doc" on October 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the DHR Health Heart Institute parking lot on Doctors Drive, where physicians will discuss cancer prevention and treatment before a one‑mile community walk. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness.
   

• UTRGV welcomes seventh cohort to PACT Early Assurance Program (utrgv.edu) — UTRGV's competitive PACT Early Assurance Program has welcomed ten high-achieving South Texas students, giving them a guaranteed pathway into the university's physician assistant master's program. With UTRGV's growing medical footprint that includes Edinburg, these future PAs aim to stay in the Rio Grande Valley, expanding access to healthcare for local, often underserved, communities.
