Residents must show a Texas ID or El Paso Water bill, can receive up to 10 bags per visit, and are urged to prepare before more rain hits this week.
   

• El Paso 12-year-old fights rare illness as family prays for miracle (ktsm.com) — A 12-year-old El Paso boy is hospitalized at El Paso Children's Hospital with a rare condition called Autoimmune Encephalitis after initially being treated for more routine illnesses. • Valeria Agudelo scores as UTEP secures first Mountain West win at home (kvia.com) — UTEP soccer delivered its first-ever Mountain West win at home in El Paso, edging San Jose State 1–0 behind a composed finish from Valeria Agudelo and a fifth shutout from goalkeeper Savanah Finley. The Miners stayed unbeaten at University Field this season and showed late-game toughness, outshooting the Spartans and controlling possession in a physical, foul-filled match that rewarded home fans' patience.
