ELPCC : Faith Nyathi Named Women's Cross County Athlete Of The Year

It has been a full week of awards for our Cross Country team. It is all capped off with the highest honor yet. Faith Nyathi has been named the Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Faith dominated the Cross Country world this season. She won four races including the Region V and National Championships. Faith topped it off by winning the National Half Marathon Championship. Other awards included two Athlete of the Week honors and being named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All American in Cross Country and Half Marathon.

Not to be forgotten is Adams Biwott. Adams was named to the Men's All-American team by the USTFCCCA. Adams' stellar season included being named Cross County Athlete of the Week and NJCAA All American in Cross Country.
