• Dallas County measles case prompts North Texas exposure warning (cbsnews.com) — Fairview residents who were at Gloria's Restaurant on Aug. 14 between 12:30 and 5 p.m. may have been exposed to measles and should monitor for symptoms through Sept. 4. Dallas County health officials urge unvaccinated people, infants, pregnant people without immunity, and those with weakened immune systems to be especially cautious and call a provider before seeking care.
   

• Major Dallas Cowboys Player's Home Targeted in Break-In (fanbuzz.com) — Fairview police are investigating a daytime break-in at Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb's Fairview home, where about $300,000 in luxury personal items were stolen. Officers found a broken side window as the suspected entry point and believe a single burglar was involved. No arrests have been made as Fairview police work with other agencies to identify a suspect.
   

• SH 5 construction in McKinney, Texas Health Alliance expansion: Check out 5 of the latest construction filings around DFW (communityimpact.com) — Drivers near Fairview should expect major changes as TxDOT widens SH 5 from two to four lanes along the McKinney–Fairview border, adding a divided roadway and shared-use path through 2028. The roundup also highlights big-ticket projects in Denton, Frisco, and elsewhere around DFW that could affect commutes and regional services.
