• 1 person dead, another injured in deadly shooting in Forest Hill, officials say (wfaa.com subscription) — A deadly shooting on Bowling Green Street in Forest Hill left one person dead, another seriously injured, and police searching for a third person who left the scene. Forest Hill officers, with help from Tarrant County and Texas Rangers, have much of the 4200 block taped off as they work to identify everyone involved and reassure long-time neighbors unsettled by the violence.
   

• Large RV fire response sends 2 firefighters to hospital – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth (nbcdfw.com) — Forest Hill firefighters were among many departments called to help battle a large RV fire in Rendon that spread to nearby structures and burned about five acres. Two firefighters from the multi-agency response were hospitalized in stable condition after hours of work in extreme heat, while officials reported no civilian injuries.
