• North Texas elementary school teacher, former principal indicted for conspiracy scheme that endangered children, officials say (wfaa.com) — Families in Forney ISD are learning that a former Crosby Elementary principal and a special-education teacher have been federally indicted for an alleged scheme that hid the teacher's prior indecency charge. Prosecutors say the concealment let him be hired in Forney ISD, where he worked until his 2026 arrest on new child abuse and grooming charges. Both now face multiple federal wire fraud counts.
   

• Kaufman County Sheriff's Office Apprehends Robbery Suspect (inforney.com) — A robbery suspect accused of threatening a clerk at the Forney Quick Mart–Chevron on FM 548 has now been identified and taken into custody by Kaufman County deputies. Investigators say the suspect, already wanted for robbery, allegedly pushed and threatened to kill the clerk before fleeing. Authorities are still withholding details of the arrest and any possible additional charges.
