Trinity Metro is working on an enhanced mobility plan in anticipation of increased travel demand during the FIFA World Cup tournament taking place in North Texas next month.
The City of Fort Worth published a blog post about the enhanced mobility plan on Friday. According to the post, that will mean expanded connections between Fort Worth, Arlington, Dallas, and DFW International Airport.
The agency coordinated with regional and event partners to prepare for the tournament over a period of years. The plan includes additional service during peak travel periods, schedule adjustments around match and event activities, and deployment of additional vehicles and operational resources to support the increased regional demand.
Trinity Metro hopes the plan will support both soccer tournament visitors and its regular customers throughout the tournament.
