The City of Fort Worth just released its Juneteenth closure schedule. Here is what residents need to know.
The city released the schedule in a Tuesday a blog post. According to the post, most city offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
Emergency services will be available as usual. Residential collections of garbage, recycling, yard and bulk waste, will operate as usual that day. Residents should place their carts on the curb by 7 a.m. on their normal collection day.
The four Drop-Off stations and the Environmental Collection Center will be closed. Call 817-392-1234 with any questions or assistance requests.
The Chuck & Brenda Silcox Center and Henry's Animal Campus will both be closed, but PetSmart Everyday Adoption Centers at Alliance and Hulen will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
All Fort Worth Public Library locations will be closed. All community centers, Haws Athletic Center, and Log Cabin Village will be closed. Meadowbrook, Rockwood Park, and Pecan Valley golf courses, McLeland Tennis Center, marine Park, and Forest Park pools will be open.
Call the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477 to access the Water Department's automated system for payments and account inquiries or to report an emergency.
Finally, Trinity Metro buses and On-Demand paratransit will operate on Sunday schedules. Trinity Metro TEXRail, Trinity Railway Express, and On-Demand rideshare services will operate on regular schedules.
