The 5 Stones Task Force will discuss Tarrant County's high risk women's intervention program at its June 30 meeting.

The City of Fort Worth posted a blog with the meeting details on Monday.

According to the blog, the meeting will feature a panel discussion on the Reaching Independence Through Self-Empowerment (RISE) program.

The panel will include Tarrant County Magistrate Judge Sheila Wynn, program manager Tre'Naisha McGuire, and case manager Naomy Franco.

The panel will discuss how the program works to change the lives of women with complex trauma and qualifying criminal offenses.

Participants receive resources that include mental health support, medical treatment, mentorship, housing, job training, education, and life skills. The hope is that after being in the program, they will transition into stable housing and steady income.

Established in 2014 by the Fort Worth Police Department, the 5 Stones Task Force is dedicated to ending human trafficking, raising awareness, and providing support to survivors.

Today, the task force is a community network engaged in collaborative efforts to end sex trafficking in Tarrant County.
