According to the post, East Division officers responded to a call about an alleged robbery at the 5400 block of Parker Henderson Rd. on June 19.

When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with a woman who shared that she was selling a phone on social media. When she presented the phone to the prospective buyer, the man grabbed the phone and took off in his vehicle while dragging her a short distance.

A few hours later, the department was contacted by Arlington Police about a similar robbery that occurred in that city. Arlington officers described the same type of vehicle and person of interest from the Fort Worth robbery.

Information from both cities was shared with the Fort Worth Police Real Time Crime Center. Officers were able to identify the vehicle used in the Arlington robbery and link it with the robbery that took place earlier in Fort Worth.

The vehicle was located near Randol Mill Rd. and Fort Worth police along with Arlington police stopped the vehicle. They identified the driver as 21-year-old Emanuel Perez Mena of Fort Worth. He was arrested for aggravated robbery.

The vehicle stopped is a silver 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. It is believed that Mena may have sold more than 10 cell phones since June 13.

Therefore, detectives are looking for any additional victims of Mena. Anyone who believes they may be a victim should contact 817-392-4469.
