Fort Worth ISD responds to concerns over classroom web cameras at some campuses (nbcdfw.com) — Fort Worth ISD is defending new classroom web cameras in some Elevate Network campuses after parents raised privacy and communication concerns. District leaders say the cameras only provide live instructional feeds to support students when teachers are absent or students are temporarily moved, while families and advocates continue pressing for clearer explanations and stronger transparency around how the technology will be used.
2. A greater good is coming to west Fort Worth — through coffee, thrifting and giving (fortworthreport.org) — A new social enterprise coffee shop and thrift store, the Greater Good Collective, has opened on South Cherry Lane in west Fort Worth, creating jobs for people experiencing homelessness through Presbyterian Night Shelter's UpSpire program. Staff receive transportation, uniforms, and lunch, while community donations and shopping help fund shelter services and future expansion, including another planned site on Fort Worth's east side.
3. USHCC National Conference Brings Hispanic Business Leaders to Fort Worth (tamacc.org) — Fort Worth is set to host the 47th Annual USHCC National Conference, drawing Hispanic entrepreneurs, executives, and policymakers from across the country. The multi-day event will pack the city with networking, educational sessions, and deal‑making opportunities, positioning Fort Worth as a key hub for Hispanic-owned businesses and anyone looking to grow their company and connections.
4. Real-time crime initiative, roundabout art: See 3 updates from Keller City Council (communityimpact.com) — Fort Worth's Real Time Crime Center is expanding into the new TRIDENT hub, and Keller just voted to join the Fort Worth-led crime and data-sharing initiative based at 505 W. Felix St. The meeting also advanced Keller's growth with incentives for a new HOPS Kitchen + Bar and ongoing plans for public art at a key roundabout, shaping how nearby suburbs connect with Fort Worth.

Fort Worth-area football: four takeaways from Aledo-Southlake Carroll scrimmage (star-telegram.com) — Fort Worth-area high school football fans get an early look at how powerhouse Aledo stacks up against Class 6A giant Southlake Carroll in a preseason scrimmage. The Bearcats impressed on both sides of the ball, fueling expectations for big-time playoff matchups involving Aledo, Carroll and North Crowley that Fort Worth fans can easily travel to and enjoy.
