Gig 'Em, Tom: Texas A&M-Fort Worth Wins Vandergriff Award (fortworthinc.com) — Texas A&M–Fort Worth has been chosen for the Fort Worth Chamber's 2026 Vandergriff Award, recognizing its fast-growing downtown campus and impact on education and jobs. Locals can attend the State of the County luncheon Oct. 14 at River Ranch Stockyards, where the award will be presented and Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare will deliver his annual address.

Fort Worth Diocese gathers first responders, legal professionals at dedicated Masses (fortworthreport.org) — The Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth recently hosted its first Blue Mass in Arlington honoring first responders, and its 20th annual Red Mass in downtown Fort Worth for legal professionals. Residents in medicine are invited to a White Coat Mass Oct. 19 at St. Patrick Cathedral, offering local professionals and families a chance to gather, pray, and find community support.
