• Luan Ngo arrested after Tesla crash near the 600 block (newsline.com) — A high-speed crash on South Friendswood Drive left a Honda driver critically injured and led to the arrest of 48-year-old Friendswood resident Luan Ngo on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. Police say Ngo's Tesla was traveling over 100 mph when it rear-ended the Honda, causing it to roll over, and Friendswood officers are still investigating the September 4 incident.
• Volleyball roundup for Sept. 29, 2026 (galvnews.com) — Friendswood volleyball fans just saw the Lady Mustangs dominate South Houston at home, dropping only 13 total points across three sets to stay perfect in district play. Friendswood, now 10-0 in District 20-5A, hosts rival Santa Fe at 6:30 p.m. Friday, giving local supporters another big chance to pack the gym and back a surging team.
