• TxDOT to Permanently Close I-30 Eastbound Lamar Street Exit in Greenville Oct. 2 (greenvillechronicle.com) — If you drive I-30 through Greenville, be ready for a big change: TxDOT will permanently close the eastbound Lamar Street Exit 97 on Oct. 2, shifting traffic to Exit 96 and the frontage road. Message boards are already up, and drivers are urged to slow down, follow signs, and stay alert in the work zone.
• Greenville Police Officer Receives 2026 Sons of the American Revolution Law Enforcement Medal (greenvillechronicle.com) — Greenville residents can celebrate local Officer Bryce A. Jones, who just received the 2026 Law Enforcement Officer Commendation Medal from the Sons of the American Revolution for his service. Jones, who returned to the Greenville Police Department in 2023, was praised by the department for his dedication to law and order and commitment to the community.
• Randall King Shares Major Life Update: I'm 'Six And A Half Months Sober' (countrynow.com) — Greenville recently hosted Texas country singer Randall King at the Lee Street Jamboree, where he shared that he's now six and a half months sober after time in rehab. From the Greenville stage, he talked about rediscovering his faith, prioritizing family and mental health, and hoping his music and story encourage others who may be struggling.
