• Southeast Texas police departments turn to drones for a new perspective on crime scenes (12newsnow.com) — Police work around Groves is getting a tech upgrade as Port Arthur's drone unit now assists nearby departments, including Groves, with crash reconstructions, search warrants, and missing-person cases. Officers say the drones improve safety by scouting dangerous scenes and creating 3D crime-scene maps. Beaumont police are also testing drones as first responders to assess threats, like reported weapons, before officers arrive.
