• Semi-truck theft, 20-mile police chase lands Kaufman County man a 30-year prison sentence (kltv.com) — A Kaufman County man has been sentenced to 30 years in state prison after stealing an 18-wheeler in Gun Barrel City and leading officers on a 20-mile chase. Gun Barrel City police first found the running semi behind a West Main Street business before the driver fled, ultimately being arrested in Van Zandt County and sentenced based on his extensive prior record.
