• Migrant Children Facing Court Alone: Lapsed Federal Contracts Left Thousands Unrepresented Before Judge (latintimes.com) — Immigration hearings in Harlingen are moving quickly, leaving many unaccompanied migrant children — including very young kids — to face judges without lawyers. A lapsed federal contract sharply reduced legal help, and a short-term replacement program is struggling to keep up, raising concerns for families and advocates across Harlingen and South Texas.
