Cardinal Track And Field Team Earns Regional Championship

Harlingen High School Track and Field team made history winning the Class 6A Region 4 Boys Championship in San Antonio. The Cardinals shattered longstanding regional records in the 100m, 200m, and the 4x100m. Next up for the Cardinals is the state meet on May 8 in Austin.

The following athletes are advancing to state:

Jose Garcia – 1st place in the Long Jump, 1st place in the 100m, 1st place in the 200m, 1st place as a member of the 4×100 m relay

Eric Quilantan- 1st place in the 400m, 1st place as a member of the 4×100 m relay

Ezvyn Zuniga – 1st place as a member of the 4×100 m relay

Pedro Luna – 1st place as a member of the 4×100 m relay
