The district has prepared to assist students with electronic device loans and Internet connectivity should they need it. Still, they realize that some students might need more support with tasks like logging in or browsing the online learning platforms used for distance learning.
The Boys and Girls Club will open Distance Learning Support Centers and HCISD will support them by providing training on technology and resources used by the district. Boys and Girls Club staff, along with some HCISD staff members, will be available at these locations to assist students with solving basic problems or navigation questions.

Some local nurseries will also be associated with the district. Participating daycare centers will receive training on the online learning systems that students will use and will be given increased internet connectivity for students to use during distance learning. Visit your child's daycare to see if it will be associated with HCISD.
HCISD teachers will not be available in the distance learning support centers. This opportunity does not take the place of face-to-face classes in a classroom, but can help students who are struggling with technology or using online platforms.
A survey must be completed for students to participate in these Boys and Girls Club distance learning support centers. There are limited spaces available. Sessions will be offered during the morning and afternoon.
