Harlingen CISD: The Big Red And Mighty Hawk Bands Advance To UIL State Marching Band Championships

Band students and staff were greeted with cheers and waves on December 14 as they began their trip to the state competition with a parade through the HCISD Administration building parking lot.

Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South marching bands have earned a spot in the 2020 UIL Texas State Marching Band Championships.

The bands will be competing at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Tuesday, December 15 against 18 other class 6A schools throughout the state for top honors. Harlingen High School will perform at 12:34 p.m. and Harlingen High School South at 3:41 p.m.

This is the sixth time in history both schools have advanced together. Harlingen High School has advanced every year since 1998.
