1 Injured In Flash Fire In Forest Hill Boulevard House: HFD
The victim suffered significant burns and had to be treated for smoke inhalation, according to the Houston Fire Department.
HOUSTON, TX — A man suffered significant injuries in a flash fire at a house in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Fire Department.
The flash fire occurred on the 400 block of Forest Hill Boulevard, which is located near Briscoe Elementary School.
The man suffered first- and second-degree burns to his torso and also had to be intubated for smoke inhalation, Houston Assistant Fire Chief Ruy Lozano told Patch. The victim was taken to a hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The Houston Arson Bureau is investigating the flash fire to determine its cause. Preliminary findings indicate natural gas ignited, but the exact cause is currently unknown, Lozano said, adding that the fire was a quick blast that burned through its fuel source quickly.
HFD is requesting people stay away from the area because of heavy traffic from emergency vehicles.
