Eight Harmony Public Schools Campuses Earn 'A' Ratings in 2026 Texas Accountability Scores

HOUSTON — A total of eight charter campuses across Harmony Public Schools’ Houston South and Houston West districts earned overall “A” ratings in the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) 2026 state accountability results released Friday.

The new state ratings reflect sustained academic performance across the region’s PreK–12 campuses. Both the Houston South and Houston West districts achieved system-level scores of 86 or higher out of a possible 100.

According to state data, Harmony students across both districts exceeded Texas benchmarks in all 20 STAAR subject and content areas for the percentage of students meeting or mastering grade-level learning goals. In Algebra I, Harmony students outperformed state averages by as much as 17 percentage points.

Notable Regional Successes

Several local campuses posted significant growth and earned statewide recognition in the 2026 metrics:

• Beaumont Progress: Harmony Science Academy - Beaumont improved its overall score by four points to earn an overall "A" rating with a 92 scaled score, up from an 88 ("B") in 2025. The campus also earned 100 percent of its eligible TEA distinction designations, securing all seven state honors for Academic Progress, Closing the Gaps, Postsecondary Readiness, and achievement in all four core academic subjects.
• High-Poverty Academic Growth: Harmony School of Innovation - Houston, a middle school serving a student body where 93 percent of students are economically disadvantaged and 49 percent are emergent bilingual learners, earned its fourth consecutive overall "A" rating (92 scaled score). HSI-Houston also swept all seven available TEA distinction designations. It is the only Harmony campus statewide with an economically disadvantaged population over 90 percent to achieve an "A" rating this year.

Statewide, 57 Harmony campuses were recognized this year as National or State Schools of Character, highlighting campus culture alongside state academic metrics.
