2 Minors Killed In Overnight Shooting In NW Houston Neighborhood

Two teenage boys were found dead by authorities, with one suffering a gunshot wound, on Log Cradle Drive on Sunday night.

HOUSTON, TX — Two boys were found dead in a northwest Houston neighborhood Sunday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found a 16-year-old Hispanic boy dead in the driver's seat of a black SUV with an apparent gunshot wound in the torso on the 7400 block of Log Cradle Drive in Houston at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday. Authorities also found another boy, who was Black and between the ages of 16 and 18, dead on the sidewalk approximately 100 feet away from the SUV, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The victim on the sidewalk suffered from trauma-related injuries, Gonzalez said.

Firearms and narcotics were found in the SUV, according to Sgt. Dennis Wolfford of the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit.

Authorities believe these two are the only ones involved in the incident, but the homicide unit is investigating, Gonzalez said.
