2018 Texas Primary Election Results: Fort Bend County
Who won in Fort Bend County: The results are still coming in, and there are few surprises.

HOUSTON TX — The dust hasn't settled just yet on the 2018 primary, with several Democratic candidates heading to a runoff for a chance to run in November.
That's what will happen in the District 22 Congressional race where Sri Preston Kulkarni, Steve Brown and Letiticia Plummer will go to a runoff before facing off against Pete Olson in November.
The polls closed all over Texas at 7 p.m., lending attention to the early voting totals and giving the rest of the country a glimpse to see if the Lone Star State is still as red as it has been since the Reagan era.

The race for the senate was also closely watched with incumbent Ted Cruz facing off against four Republican challengers, defeating all four and handily winning 88 percent of the votes statewide.
The Democratic race was closer with Beto O’Rourke winning 57 percent, followed by Edward Kimbrough and Sema Hernandez who each won 21 percent.

In state races, Republican Senator Joan Huffman won 67 percent of the early vote totals and could face either Rit Lucido or Fran Watson, who will go to a runoff, of the totals hold.
In State Rep. 27, Rick Miller will face off against Ron Reynolds in November, and in District 28, John Zerwas will face off against Meghan Scoggins in November.
Runoff elections will be held May 22.
